Three quarter view in fashion drawing

Three quarter view in fashion drawing is one of the most challenging views to draw . In the meantime, it is one of the most efficient views in fashion drawing  because it show an apparel on the body beyond of what could be depicted in fashion flats or spec drawing. A variety of different illustrations and fashion drawings can be created with templates included in the book. Templates are as applicable for fashion illustration with precise depiction of garment as they are for more conceptual, free style sketches.

To begin drawing with fashion templates, select the figure pose which you think will be the best for your design. Among all options in the seven plates you can find almost any pose which could be suitable for fashion drawing. There are three quarter views,side view, back and front views (in movement as well as still) poses, all included in the book with variety of positions for arms and legs. The choice is yours!

After the desirable pose for the figure is selected, start the tracing process. To begin, cover the selected template with paper. Paper stock for tracing should be thin enough to see through. If selected paper has to be of more heavier stock then you can use a light box.

While you trace the figure try to not shift the paper.
After the figure is traced start adding details and/or rendering to your drawing.

Add details for your garment, render your trace using different art media and styles.
All these illustrations above were created with figure drawing templates. As a result they all have same proportions but they all look different stylistically because they are differently rendered and carry different set of details.
